Did you get a new tablet, phone, or computer as a gift? Do you have a device that needs to get on your wi-fi network, but you’re not sure how to do it? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Here’s how to connect (almost) any device to your wi-fi network!
iOS (iPhones and iPads)
- From your Home screen, go to the Settings app
- Tap on wi-fi
- Make sure your wi-fi option is turned on. Your device will automatically search for available wi-fi networks
- Tap the name of the Wi-Fi network that you want to join
- Input your wi-fi password and tap join
- Connect to the internet!
Android (Google phones, Samsung phones, Motorola phones)
- From your Home screen, go to the Settings app
- Tap Network & internet and then Wi-Fi
- Make sure your wi-fi option is turned on. Your device will automatically search for available wi-fi networks
- Tap the name of the wi-fi network that you want to join
- Input your wi-fi password and tap join
- Connect to the internet!
Mac (Macbook, Macbook Air, New Macbook)
- Click wi-fi icon in the menu bar (bar at the top of your screen)
- Make sure your wi-fi option is turned on
- Click the name of the wi-fi network that you want to join
- Enter the password, then click Join
- Connect to the internet!
Windows (HP, Microsoft Surface, Dell, Lenovo)
- Click wi-fi icon in the menu bar (at the bottom right of your screen, by the clock)
- Make sure your wi-fi option is turned on. Your device will automatically search for available wi-fi networks
- Click the name of the wi-fi network that you want to join
- Enter the password, then click Join
- Connect to the internet!
Playstation 4, Playstation 4 Slim, and Playstation 4 Pro
- Press up on your controller and scroll to the right. Press X on the Settings icon
- Scroll down to Network, press X
- Select Set Up Internet Connection
- Select Use wi-fi, then select Easy
- Select the name of the wi-fi network that you want to join
- Enter the password, then select Join
- Connect to the internet!
Xbox One and Xbox One X
- Press the Xbox button on your controller and select Settings
- Scroll down to All Settings
- Select Network
- Select Network settings
- Select Set up wireless network
- Select the name of the wi-fi network that you want to join
- Enter the password, then select Join
- Connect to the internet!
Nintendo Switch
- On the home screen, select System Settings
- Scroll down to Internet, the names of available wi-fi networks will appear on the right hand side
- Select the name of the wi-fi network that you want to join
- Enter the password, then select Join
- Connect to the internet!
